Video of the Day: 'Selfie King' takes photos for 7 years, transforms from boy to man in a minute

MANILA, Philippines – A Canadian teenage boy just seized the ‘selfie’ throne away from Kim Kardashian, Miley Cyrus and Rihanna.

Nineteen-year-old Hugo Cornellier claims to have been taking selfies even before the word itself was coined. This boy instantly became an Internet sensation after uploading a video showing his transformation from 12 years old to 19 years old through series of selfies.

Hugo had formed a collection of  3,000 self-portraits in a span of seven years. The obsession of  taking his own photos started when his father bought him a camera. He then decided to create his own photography project showcasing his growth. The editing was spectacular, showing only minimal movement of his face. Almost all the pictures were taken in front of his computer. In  just over two weeks, the video has earned 1.2 million views in YouTube.

As if the number isn’t enough, he said he is not planning on stopping soon and he will still take a selfie until he gets old.
