Paris Olympics two-gold winner Carlos Yulo is now a reservist of the Philippine Navy holding a rank of Petty Officer 1st Class.

Carlos Yulo, the two-time Olympic gold medalist in gymnastics, has been inducted into the Philippine Navy Reserve Force with the rank of Petty Officer 1st Class.

The number of Chinese vessels loitering near Pag-asa Island surged twofold last week, rising from 25 to 50, according to Philippine Navy data released on Tuesday, October 1. 

While Chinese vessels in the West Philippine Sea have decreased in number, they have maintained a presence in three key land features where naval and coast guard ships have intensified operations in the past seven days, according to the Philippine Navy.
