MANILA, Philippines - Ang Kapatiran party's senatorial candidate John Carlos "JC" delos Reyes is frequently criticized for confusing the practice of faith in running for a political position.
In an exclusive interview with Philstar.com, the senatorial hopeful explains his party's position on the overlapping dimension of politics and faith-inspired conscience, which he deems integral in governance.
"Faith ... really influences how our conscience works. You cannot say, don't include conscience as a politician. Kanya-kanyang konsensya 'yan e, ang problema, ano ang konsensya ng ibang pulitiko?" he said.
Delos Reyes also talks about the much "misunderstood" concept of "separation of church and state" in this second part of the video.
