Prosecution confident to pin Corona on Article 7

The prosecution panel in the impeachment trial of Chief Justice Renato Corona is confident that allegations in Article 7 will prosper.

Article 7 pertains to allegations that the High magistrate has shown partiality in granting temporary restraining order in favor of ex-President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo and her husband Mike Arroyo.

"Ang chief justice napakalakas ng power over a certain case...Nagawa nyang baliktarin ang TRO kay GMA na hindi na kailangan ng special power of attorney para makaalis ng bansa," House prosecution panel member Neri Colminares said. (Dennis Carcamo)
