Defense says Corona bank docs, illegally acquired

The defense lawyers of Chief Justice Renato Corona claim that the alleged photocopies of the head magistrate's bank documents

have been illegally acquired by the prosecution.

Lawyer Karen Jimeno, one of Corona's spokespersons, said it should not be covered by the subpoena being requested by the prosecution from BPI Ayala branch where the current bank accounts have been allegedly opened by the Chief Justice.  

"Kahit sila (prosecution) hindi nila alam kung saan nanggaling yun," Jimeno told a press conference at the Senate.
