San Mateo Municipal Jail relocation sought

MANILA, Philippines - With the perennial problem of overflowing of the San Mateo River, the Municipal Jail leadership has requested the local government to relocate the facility to a higher ground. This is to prevent the 240 inmates from escaping every time they are transferred to a nearby high school campus when the two-story detention facility is flooded during heavy rains.
