MANILA, Philippines – Police director Roberto Rosales said that the people who came out with the alleged intelligence report linking him to auto-theft operations are the ones who are protecting carjack rings.
In a press conference this morning in Camp Crame, Rosales added that the move to link him to carjacking syndicates is a "smear campaign" to discredit him in his anti-criminality drive.
He said that during the course of his anti-crime campaign, which targeted carnap rings, several personalities, including government personnel linked to such syndicates, have been adversely affected.
