Thoughts to guide us by (For August 2015)

The world we live in is becoming more and more hectic – with the modern gadgets and inventions that continuously abound – filling our days with almost-endless things we must and to do, need leaving little room for things we want and enjoy to do. Many memorable and important moments are lost with our daily super-packed schedules/routines. Leaving little time to connect with our inner selves, with friends, and sadly even with our own families.

Life is not a race! But a journey to savor every step we take. To discover the countless simple varied pleasures this complex world offers. Sing a favorite song, promenade in the park, walk barefoot on the sand, dance to favorite tunes, watch our famous beautiful sunset, play with children, gaze at the colorful, beautiful flowers, sit quietly inside a church, nurture friendships, breath deeply, correctly always, join my Laughter Yoga sessions, and laugh to your heart’s delight. They do wonders to our minds, bodies and spirits.

When stressed and harassed, remember: have joyful moments … not just fleeting minutes … as we go through our daily grind. “Happiness is a living emotion.”
