2,130 out of 5,259 examinees pass CPA board exam
MANILA, Philippines - The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) reported yesterday that the licensure examination for Certified Public Accountant (CPAs) had posted a 40 percent passing rate with the top examinee coming from a relatively unknown business school in Palo, Leyte.
PRC said that Marwin Agamon Baldevia of Saint Paul’s Business School-Palo topped the examination with a 92.14 percent rating.
The PRC said that 2,130 of the 5,259 examinees passed the tests given by the Board of Accountancy in the cities of Manila, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo and Legazpi this month.
The PRC said that none of the schools with “50 or more examinees” had registered an 80 percent passing percentage.
