MANILA, Philippines — Sridhar Dharmajan, MSC Software Corp. managing director for the Indo-Pacific region, on Tuesday signed a memorandum of agreement with FEATI University chief executive officer and vice chairman of the board Francisco Segovia in ceremonies held at the Solaire Resort and Casino in Paranaque City, formalizing the partnership to teach the country’s engineering students use of the MSC engineering software.

MSC Software is the world’s pioneer in engineering simulation applications, with the most advanced engineering simulation software portfolio used by the world’s manufacturers of the most modern aircraft, automobiles, military tanks, motorbikes, bicycles, spacecraft and defense systems, among others.

MSC Software is part of the Hexagon group, a global leader in digital transformation with a proven record in quality and manufacturing technology, allowing it to help its customers’ products reach their potential by closing the loop between simulation and reality.

The Department of Science and Technology (DOST) supported the Stamina 4 Space program at the University of the Philippines in Diliman, which  is now in the process of acquiring a simulation software of the conglomerate for use in the effort to locally manufacture a microsatellite and nanosatellite in the country.

FEATI University, on the other hand, is the Philippines’ pioneer in aviation education and aeronautical engineering that was founded in 1946.

With the partnership with MSC Software Corp., the institution aims to take another leap in helping prepare future engineers to meet new challenges in product design or product innovation as well as industry requirements that intensify their employability and ability to design and build innovative products.
