MANILA, Philippines — Hotel Jen Manila, in coordination with the Pasay City government, recently completed the renovation of Maytubig Day Care Center during the annual celebration of Housekeeping Week 2018.
The local community of Maytubig, located in Barangay 1, Zone 1, Pasay City, has approximately 250 underprivileged families. Pupils at the center are divided into morning and afternoon classes.
The renovation started in mid-August in time for the school opening in September. The makeover included repainting of walls, installation of wall art and air conditioner, provision of new tables and chairs, white board and teacher’s aid materials.
Several Hotel Jen Manila employees volunteered, headed by hotel manager Frencie Duadua, together with barangay captain Daniel Asuncion. Distribution of school supplies and feeding program for the children were also conducted.
“Hotel Jen Manila is dedicated to supporting our neighbors, and the revamp of this day care center is a great achievement for all those involved and will give the children of the community an advantage in life,” Duadua said.
Hotel Jen is located along Roxas Boulevard, across the Cultural Center of the Philippines.
