MANILA, Philippines — To provide technical-vocational (tech-voc) graduates and other jobseekers better employment opportunities, the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) is offering free assessment and certification.
TESDA director general Guiling Mamondiong said the agency is mounting a two-day National Assessment Day on June 26.
“The National Assessment Day shall be conducted in all accredited assessment centers in partnership with companies and industries, local government units, national government agencies and other tech-voc education and training stakeholders,” Mamondiong said.
The event aims to promote the value of certification in quality, assuring the competencies of workers as well as expand public awareness of the TESDA Competency Assessment and Certification Program.
Mamondiong said the free assessment and certification services will be open to industry workers who have the work experience to perform the competencies as defined in their respective training regulations.
Application forms may be downloaded from https://goo.gl/sluc7c, while the Self-Assessment Guides for various TESDA qualifications can be accessed through www.tesda.gov.ph. The same documents can also be obtained from the agency’s provincial offices and accredited assessment centers for walk-in applicants.
