Mapúa inaugurates renovated computer lab

MANILA, Philippines - Mapúa Institute of Technology recently inaugurated a newly renovated computer laboratory for its engineering students aimed at strengthening their capabilities and expertise. This was completed in partnership with Fluor Philippines.

Known as the Fluor Daniel Computer Laboratory Room (FDCLR), the refurbished computer laboratory is for Mapúa students under Schools of Civil, Environmental, and Geological Engineering (CEGE); Chemical Engineering and Chemistry (ChE-Chm); Electrical, Electronics, and Computer Engineering (EECE); and Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering (MME).

The computer laboratory is equipped with 15 Dell workstations installed with Aspen Hysys 7.3, a modeling system for process design and operations; and Bentley Autopipe, a pipe stress analysis software.

Mapúa president Dr. Reynaldo Vea expressed his gratitude to Fluor Philippines for generously helping Mapúa provide its students with highly relevant, professional, and advanced education in preparation for and furtherance of global practice.
