MANILA, Philippines - The University of the East Graduate School (UEGS) beefs up its course offerings with two new post-graduate programs, the Master of Science in Accountancy and Master in Accountancy.
These new CHED compliant graduate programs are offered in three tracks with 36 units each: (1) Track 1 - research track, centered on research and requires a thesis for a degree in Master of Science in Accountancy; (2) Track 2 - teaching track, with cognates in education-related subjects; and (3) Track 3 - industry track, with cognates in work-related courses. The last two tracks lead to a degree in Master in Accountancy. For all three tracks, students can opt to major in the following: management accounting, audit, or taxation.
To raise their level of competencies, to understand the implications of a more standardized or specialized approach to the internationalization of business, accountants, business graduates, or engineers must study any of these new programs to eventually earn a master’s degree for professional advancement and leverage.
An intensive two- to three-week accounting foundation seminar is a pre-requisite for non-accountancy business graduates and engineering graduates, to be offered during the summer term, depending on demand.
The new graduate programs will commence on mid-2013 at the UEGS Manila Campus or at the Makati Business Central District. For details, please e-mail the UEGS at ue.graduate_school@yahoo.com.
Aside from these new programs, the UEGS offers the following courses: DBA, Ed.D., MBA, MPA, MAEd, MS, MIM, MLIS, MScD, MSCM, and MSES.
