Science and math come alive in Philippine classrooms

MANILA, Philippines - There is a now a new technology that helps schools teach the difficult concepts in Science and Mathematics with much ease.

The Data Science and Technology Corp. (DSTC), the local distributor of the Maths and Science technology teaching solutions from Singapore, has already installed these breakthrough technologies in various schools in Metro Manila and North Luzon for school year 2011-2012. The programs are expected to increase students’ engagement in Science and Mathematics through the colorful and animated multimedia contents, lively audio, and interactive lessons and exercises.

DSTC has devised a way where far-flung places will be able to benefit from the technology solutions even in the absence of internet access.

DSTC has also allocated donation of Science and Mathematics software to Quezon City public schools through the office of Vice Mayor Joy Belmonte.

“We remove obstacles to learning and afford the schools to implement an international curriculum backed by modern technology tools,” says Josephine Legaspi, VP for marketing and sales of DSTC-Genetic. With the upgraded tools at hand, teachers and subject coordinators will have much more free to manage other aspects of teaching and focus on areas that need utmost attention.
