What every school registrar must know

MANILA, Philippines - One of the most important departments in an educational institution is the registrar’s office, but it could also be the weakest link in the entire school system. When utilized properly, the registrar’s office can be used productively and effectively in many ways and even create value for the school as a profit center. This event will feature the registrars from three prestigious schools in the country: Joaquin Julian Agtarap, PhD of Ateneo De Manila University who presently heads an office of 25 associates and 200 registration committee; Rey Reyes, registrar and executive managing director for student service of the Asian Institute of Management, and Edwin Santiago, associate vice chancellor for academic services and university registrar of De La Salle University. He also serves as the chief operating officer on matters relating to student records management, and supervises several offices in the university that concerns student admissions, institutional evaluation, and student assistance.
