San Beda College Alabang girds for ruby year

MANILA, Philippines - By 2012, San Beda College Alabang will be celebrating its 40th founding anniversary with the theme, “One Community a Shared Destiny: Moving Ahead at Forty”. Less than two years before the ruby year, the school has already lined up exciting activities to mark the countdown. For this year, the school’s performing arts group was busy with the re-staging of the original musical about the life of the twin saints – Benedict and Scholastica, titled “Ora et Labora”. The play featured promising thespians from the student body and the faculty.

Other build up activities planned for the countdown include the planting of 40 trees at the Montserrat Center (San Beda Retreat House), installation of historical markers inside the Alabang campus, and exhibits of ruby memorabilia.

As the college reaches its 40th founding anniversary, it has reaffirmed its commitment to academic excellence as proven by its impressive performance in the board and bar examinations. Most of its programs are accredited by the Philippine Association of Accredited Schools, Colleges and Universities (PAASCU) and backed up by strong technological support, competent faculty and a wide array of physical facilities to meet the diverse learning needs of its clientele.

Truly, San Beda College Alabang is one community with a shared destiny.
