Dreaming to become a pilot?

MANILA, Philippines - Roger, a Grade 2 pupil, stopped on the roadside on his way home from school and looked up at the blue sky as a low-flying plane buzzes overhead. Roger could only say to himself, “I wish I could also fly an airplane like him” (referring to the pilot).

Like young Roger, many other boys, and even girls, dream of flying an airplane one day and experience a thrill like no other. Flying is one of the most challenging and admired jobs one could ever imagine.

Mindanao Aero Flight and Training Center, Inc. (MAFTCI) can help make that childhood dream come true.

Established in 1990 in Davao City, MAFTC has produced graduates who are now working in prestigious airline companies here and abroad. Enrollment is continuing, and a new ground training starts as soon as there are at least four students enrolled. Special classes may be held upon arrangement with school authorities.

MAFTC has two aircraft to train its students - a Cessna 150, a two-seater aircraft with 100 horse power, and Cessna 180, a four-seater aircraft with 250 horse power. Top-caliber flight instructors guide the students during flight training.

Located at the Jose Maria College campus, MAFTC is equipped with modern equipment and facilities, and a secure environment. It offers Private Pilot Training Course, Comprehensive and Individualized Training, and Commercial Pilot Training Course.

Private pilot training course is offered to individuals who want to become licensed pilots in preparation for an advanced training program for flying passengers or cargo. The comprehensive and individualized training is designed to equip the student with the necessary skills needed to enjoy the privileges of a Private Pilot Certificate. The commercial pilot training course is programmed for holders of Private Pilot License, which is an advanced program intended for private pilots who intend to join the ranks of aviation professionals and make flying a career.
