How to have a handbook of your school's HR policies

MANILA, Philippines - A pioneering seminar entitled “Best Practices in Manualization of School HR Policies” will be held on July 15 and 16, 2010, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Edsa Shangri-La Hotel in Mandaluyong City.

This special program by the Center for Global Best Practices (CGBP) is a comprehensive and practical guide for school owners, administrators and HR managers and practitioners on how to property and systematically create a working manual and handbook of HR policies that is aligned with existing labor laws as well as with the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) and the Department of Education (DepEd) regulations.

Schools that are serious about institutionalizing and professionalizing their operations, getting accreditations such as ISO, IQUAME, PACUCOA, and PAASCU will certainly need a working manual.

Those with existing schools and others who are planning to have one will greatly benefit from the wealth of information extensively researched and prepared by Atty. Evelyn Del Rosario, Ed.D., a labor and education lawyer with extensive experience in crafting school HR policy manuals and handbooks for personnel, faculty and students. She has a doctorate in Educational Management. This unique program will also feature Ramon de Leon, who was the managing director of Ayala Corp. until his retirement in 2004. Presently, his advocacy is in reforming the school system and he serves as the VP for human resources of the Technological Institute of the Philippines.

Interested participants are encouraged to avail of the early bird and group discounts. Details and registration form of this limited-seats-only event are available at CGBP’s website www.cgbp.org or call program officer Kay Gomez at (02) 8427148/59 and (02) 5568968/69 or email kay@cgbp.org.
