MANILA, Philippines - Team Khronos of De La Salle-College of St. Benilde (DLSU-CSB) is headed to Warsaw, Poland next month to compete in the software design category and People’s Choice Award of the eight annual Imagine Cup, the world’s premier student technology competition sponsored by Microsoft Corp.
Running through July 7, the public is invited to view videos created by the students and vote for their favorite projects at http://www.imaginecup.com. The team with the most votes will be crowned the People’s Choice champion and will be recognized July 8 at an awards ceremony at the Imagine Cup World Festival at the Warsaw opera house.
Called Project L.I.G.T.A.S. (Location-based Information Gathering for Tragedy Alleviation System), Team Khronos’ entry is a web-based disaster control and coordination system which provides a wide range of features and functionalities that enable better relief and service operations, prevention, and remedy mechanisms in local disaster-related incidents.
