MANILA, Philippines - The Center for Global Best Practices (CGBP) is launching a pioneering program entitled, “Best practices in detecting and counteracting election fraud.” This is the only and most comprehensive program that will feature all you need to know to protect your ballots and your votes. This one-time event will be held on Friday, Jan. 29, at the EDSA Shangri-La Hotel, Mandaluyong City.
Eliminate the chances of being cheated in this 2010 Election. Outsmart the cheaters and guard your votes. This one-day seminar will feature all the modus operandi and fraud schemes of cheaters in the election. It will also feature the most common findings of COMELEC regarding election fraud and how to counter them effectively. The program is intended to benefit all stakeholders and candidates running for public office.
Learn it from the expert who knows the new procedures in this election and how the machine works. Listen to Atty. Ferdinand Rafanan, director of the COMELEC law department and chairman of the special bids and awards committee that selected the automation election system for the May 10, 2010 elections. This UP Law ’83 graduate conceptualized the “ELECTVOICE” (Election Law Enforcement and Compliance Thru Voters’ Instruction and Candidates Education).
To further assist lawyers during the election process, CGBP will also hold a special program entitled, “Handling evidentiary objections in election trial,” again featuring Atty. Ferdinand Rafanan. This subject is part of the 2010 MCLE program on Feb. 12, 2010 at the InterContinental Manila, Makati City. It will focus on how to present evidence properly and how election protest should be handled correctly. Attend and avail of the early bird and group discounts. For details, contact program officer Freya Pacis at freya@cgbp.org or call (02) 8427148 and 50. Details and other upcoming seminars are also available at www.cgbp.org. Programs have limited seats on a first-come-first-served basis. Both programs are recognized by the Integrated Bar of the Philippines as MCLE-accredited courses. Pre-registration is strictly required.
