Smart kids speak up for a better future

MANILA, Philippines - If you were the President of the Philippines, what is the first thing that you would do?

This is the question Ovaltine is asking all six- to ten-year old Filipino children, with its Smarter Philippines contest. Ovaltine believes that children are capable of giving ideas that can really help our country move forward. With the Smarter Philippines contest, Ovaltine is giving Filipino kids a chance to speak up and be heard, but at the same time be rewarded for voicing their thoughts.

By just uploading the child’s video to www.smarterphilippines.com answering the question: “If you were the President of the Philippines, what is the first thing that you would do?” they can get a chance to win an educational showcase worth P100,000. The showcase can be a choice from among these three options: 1) an educational trip package for two to Thailand, 2) a computer package that will include a laptop, printer and other gadgets; or 3) an educational videos package consisting of a flat screen TV, DVD player, educational videos and other cool stuff. Not only that, but the grand prize winner will also be the next Ovaltine Ambassador. The Ovaltine Ambassador will represent what Ovaltine believes every child could be – sharp, bright, armed with smarts so he/she can grow to be the future of our country.

Deadline for submission of video entries is on Nov. 30, 2009. For more information about the contest, visit www.smart philippines.com.
