DLSU-D reaps awards

MANILA, Philippines - • The Dark Green Schools (DGS) Program of the Environmental Education Network of the Philippines, Inc. (EENP) conferred the Dark Green status to DLSU-D, the highest status a member institution of DGS can receive. According to EENP president Cecilia Gascon, the Dark Green status means that the University effectively integrates environmental concerns in its academic programs and has continuing efforts to improve the environmental situation within its community.

• Dr. Aurora Santarin, faculty from the College of Business Administration (CBA) was awarded the 2009 Most Outstanding Entrepreneur Educator of the Philippines accorded by the Entrepreneurship Educators’ Association of the Philippines, Inc. (ENEDA).

• Vivian Pascual, associate dean of CBA bagged the 2008-2009 FINEX-CITI Rafael B. Buenaventura Outstanding Finance Educator (OFE) Award for Luzon held at the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas Executive Business Center.

• Dr. Alice T. Valerio, a faculty from the CBA was accorded the Certificate of Recognition by DZMM of ABS-CBN as Mentor of the winner of the Nego-Plano Panalo Challenge. The award was given during the airing of the program “Radyo negosyo” by its host Dr. Carl Balita.
