Alex Eala, nanupalpal!

Galing ni Alex Eala. Nagawa niyang ‘manupalpal’ ng reporter in a good way sa press conference pagkatapos niyang talunin ang world number 85 Tereza Valentová na dalawang beses siyang tinalo, sa ginaganap na 2026 Hong Kong Tennis Open.

“You seem to be very tired during the game. Is that just our impression?” tanong ng reporter na hindi nakita ang mukha, boses lang ang naririnig sa kumalat na video sa social media pages.

Sinagot siya ni Alex na may ngiti: “Is that your impression? You tell me, is that your impression?”

Sumagot si Alex ng “Mukha rin po kayong pagod eh. Are you tired?”

Nag-yes ang reporter.

Pero sinagot ulit siya ni Alex ng “Aw, you should rest. You should have some rest.”

Ipinaliwanag naman ni Alex kung bakit itinuturing niya ang pagkapagod bilang bahagi ng karanasan sa tennis.

“I think being tired, like I said in my last interview... is a blessing. Of course, when you face opponents like Tereza and opponents who are just as motivated and just as ganado, I guess is the word, as you to win, you’ll give everything that you have physically and mentally,” paliwanag niya pa.

“At the end of the day, I’m an athlete. So, I get tired, I recover, and then I go back and I do it again.

“I choose [it] and it’s a constant effort to do it again and again and again and again, no matter whether you’re tired or you feel like you can climb Mount Everest,” sabi pa niya.

Tama naman, alangan namang hindi siya mapagod.
