Arkiteks United ready for battle in Aboitiz Cup

CEBU, Philippines — The Arkiteks United is raring to plunge into action in the men’s open Division 2 of the 26th Aboitiz Football Cup this weekend at the Dynamic Herb-Borromeo Sports Complex.

Under the guidance of head coach Arnie Pasinabo and his assistant coach Michael Bonjoc, the Arkiteks United is bannered by former University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) and Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation, Inc. (CESAFI) players.

Among them are Zidane Alanquihan, Joshua Genson, Kiann Partosa, and Julian Cabatingan (University of Sto. Tomas), Nathan Bajarias and Leonel James Fernandez (University of San Carlos), Sydney Kamichi and Neilson Villaver (Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu), and Lance Alkuino and Cyril Calo (Don Bosco Technical College).

Before suiting up for the UST juniors, Partosa was the Most Valuable Player in the Under 15 division of the 19th Aboitiz Cup when he was still donning the Ateneo de Cebu jersey way back in 2017.

Skippered by Vincent Ace Duenas, the other members of the Arkiteks United are Christopher Martinez, Oliver Abarquez, Aaron Choachuy, Fretz Remulta, Mikko Palacio, Leonel Fernandez, Zeus Amarga, Glenn Alonso, Daryll Chavez, Aldwin Pandaan, Mark Aguirre, Paolo Perez, and Mel Rubillos. Their team manager is Jhojo Partosa.

The Arkiteks are grouped with Lapu-Lapu FC, University of the Philippines (UP) Cebu, Sportsgen FC, Sporting FC and DB Magone, which they will face in their first game on Sunday, August 2.
