Hammerhead-UCMed rules ACL Season 2
CEBU, Philippines — The Hammerhead-UCMed launched an explosive endgame attack to crush Cebu Doctors’ University Hospital, 65-42, in their grudge finals rematch and grab the championship crown of the Athletic Cebu League (ACL) Season 2 at the Sacred Heart Center Sports Club along D. Jakosalem Street in Cebu City.
Aljon Armian shepherded Hammerhead to title glory with 15 points on top of two rebounds, one assist, and three steals to claim the Finals MVP award.
Ralph Dy, Jade Isenth Iñigo, Jhoei Christian Pilapil, and Rhiel Samson connived for 29 points for Hammerhead, which led by only a hairline, 29-28, after three quarters.
But Hammerhead dropped a devastating 36-14 bomb in the windup to flatten CebuDoc.
The other members of Hammerhead-UCMed are Jestoni Abia, Wesler Lim, Jorge Norberto Miguel Tan, Kirk Chloe Neal Parame, John Michael Pala, John Rio Tomias, Aldwin Cañido, Deo Dominique Duja, Joven Namocatcat, Alex william Bascug, Keith aldrin Ompad, Sherwin Miñoza, Khyle Marwin Villarico, Japeth Salera, and Enrico Larrazabal.
The ACL Season 2 was organized by Dr. Dilbert Monicit and Kith Diaz Ng, with Reg Rodulfo and Mardion Delima as commissioners. — (FREEMAN)
