Kung may mina-manifest man si Lovi Poe sa pagpasok niya sa Star Magic, ito ay ang remake ng ginawa ng tatay niyang si Da King Fernando Poe Jr. “I think one dream project... You know, I would love to do a remake of something that my father has done,” pag-amin niya noong isang araw, nang bigyan siya ng welcome party pagkatapos pumirma ng kontrata sa Star Magic.

“Yes, I don’t really have to say one example, but then I think an FPJ story would be great.

“It doesn’t matter what it is, but I think it would be nice to be able to do something special with my father. Doing it... here I am. I hope that I will get to do a project that my dad did,” pahayag ng actress na matagal ding napahinga sa trabaho matapos ikasal at magkaanak.

“My life revolved around work, and my husband and I have been resistant of, like... There was a time na, ‘What if I don’t get to do this?

“‘What if I don’t become the actress I want to be?”

“‘What if I do get to pursue my dreams and goals because I have different priorities?’

“It will happen, ‘di ba? Once you’re in love with this little precious thing, parang sometimes your priorities shift,” paglalahad ng actress habang tumitingin sa kanyang mister na present sa ginanap na contract signing.

“But then I realized that ambition and motherhood go well together. They go really well together because they just strengthen each other, because before I was like, ‘I won’t be able to do all these things. I want people or women who are people-oriented, anyone.’

“We would always have these thoughts, things in our heads that we get anxious about, and we don’t get to do the things we love.

“No, you’ll still be able to do all those dreams with the right people around you, and with the right mindset, you can do it,” dagdag niyang paliwanag.

“That is one thing that I discovered in myself. I thought before I was exhausted, but I’ve never been more exhausted in my life than now. Pero, it is also worth it, because there is nothing like family. Really,” pagdidiin niya sa life update at kung bakit siya magiging aktibo ulit.

Ngayon ay handang-handa na siya pero parati pa rin niyang prayoridad ang pamilya.

“But I am more than willing to move things around. It’s not even moving things around; they’re a priority right now. You know what I mean? So, it is just like that is one thing that I have definitely learned. Basically, to be more present as well is the most important to me. Because when I’m at work, I’m at work. But when I am also with my family, I want to put my phone down, and I just want to be present and live in the moment.”

Pag-amin niya pa. “Hindi naman nawawala ‘yun; you get anxious and you want to plan for the future because, of course, it is important when it comes to family. But it’s just something that I’ve really learned to do, and sometimes I don’t get to really do it, but I have to remind myself every time. Like okay, be present right now. Put your phone down; think about work later.”

Naniniwala rin si Lovi na perfect timing ang lahat.

“Honestly, we have been having a back and forth conversation for a while now. After giving birth, I filmed a TV show last month and I am finishing a movie now. So parang it’s been very hard trying to get things together. With all the conversations now, finally we’re here. And everything is just perfect timing, I guess.”

Kasama naman sa natapos na project ni Lovi ang dalawang international films na Ignition and The Chelsea Cowboy.
