Sayo nga pamolitika

Early politicking. Samtang wala pa manginit ang gilingkoran sa mga konsehal, tapus sa oath-taking ceremony, aduna nay gihugonhugon nga tinguha pag-unite sa duha ka pundok politikanhon aron ilang ma-capture ang mayoriya sa city council.

Kon Tinuod man, this is bad politics. Sa Google pa, “politics is the Devil's game built on treachery, deceit and lies.” Sa ato pa, sa politika, anaa  sa pagluib, pagpanglimbong, ug pagpamakak. Yet, mitugot kita nga ang poitika maoy magdumala kanato.

Apan, matud pa: Politics is not evil, only man. Meaning, kitang tawo maoy napaka-dirty sa politika.  

Ang Google nagkanayon: “Politics, in its simplest form, is the process of making decisions within a group, whether it's a small club or a large nation. It involves how power is distributed and exercised, how conflicts are resolved, and how resources and values are allocated. The word politics originates from the Greek ‘politiká,’ meaning affairs of the cities.”

So, nindot kaayo ang kahulogan ug katuyoan sa politika. Kita, ikaw ug ako, ug sila maoy naghugaw-hugaw niini, kini tungod sa natong intereses, ug kahakog sa gahom.   

Aron magamhanan buot natong angkonon ug panag-iyahon ang tibuok kalibutan, nga dili man kini nato makumkom? What’s the point?

Si Fr. Jerry M. Orbos, SVD, nagkanayon: “No point in using limited life to choose unlimited money.” Samtang walay limit ang kwarta, apan, limitedo ang kinabuhi. Lumalabay lamang kita dinhi niining hinulaman nga kinabuhi.

“No point in earning so much money for which we cannot live long enough to spend.” So, gumikan sa pagka-limited sa atong kinabuhi, dili kita makahurot paggasto sa hinaguan (konohay) natong nagtipun-og nga bahandi within our lifetime.

“No point in using your health to gain wealth, and using your wealth to gain health; happiness is not in having much, but in having little needs.” Karon nga daghan na kaayo ka og kwarta (regardless how you earned them), are you heavenly happy now?

Tinuod ba ang giingon nga ang ‘money is the root of all evils’?.Dili kuno, this is a misquote, matud sa google. “The actual verse, from the Bible, says "the love of money is the root of all kinds of evil This distinction is important, as it highlights that it's not money itself that's inherently evil, but rather the excessive desire for it and the choices people make when pursuing it.”

So, dili ang salapi, per se, maoy gamut sa tanang kayawan-on sa tawo, kundili, ang naghingapin  ug hinakog natong paghandom ug pag-angkon niini.

Sa atong giingon sa unahan, ang politika sama sa salapi dili dirty, ug dili root of all evils. kita nang mga tawo ang nakapa-dirty ug nakapa-evil niini.

Karon, dinhi sa siyudad, adunay tabi-tabi pag-hiusa sa duha ka pundok-politikanhon (nga maisip nga opposition), aron ilang ma-capture ang mayoriya sa ‘bag-ong konseho.’

Alang nako, regardless sa color sa politika, magtambayayong lang unta sila, ug isalikway, temporarily ang politika, for the common good and welfare sa katawhan nga ilang gialagaran? 

Kon magtibulaag sila, ma-hostage ang katawhan, ug maoy mopatigbabaw ang mga political bickering ug squabbling sulod sa konseho.  

Ang lungsod mahimo na lang nga mga fence-sitters.
