Naay usa ka sektor sa politika nga buot patalsikon sa iyang puwesto si Finance Secretary Margarito Teves tungod kuno sa kapalpakan nga nahimo niini.
Mora’g makapaisa sa kilay kini. Dili ba nga mao man kini nga Teves ang gidayeg ug gipasidunggan sa The Banker, ang inila ug respetadong global finance magazine nga nagbase sa London, England?
Si Finance Secretary Teves, lumad nga Bisaya, gihatagan sa “Best Finance Minister in Asia” award sa tuig 2008 gumikan niining rason:
“Teves rose to the challenge of handling the impact of global economic turmoil on the country (Philippines).”
Matud pa ni The Banker editor Philip Alexander, si Teves maoy responsable sa “progressive improvements in revenue collection, lower public debt levels and more stable finances at the state-owned enterprises.”
