Laudit, Camacho rule Great UP Run 2026

MANILA, Philippines — Roy Laudit and Maricar Camacho topped the 10,000-strong participants who joined this year's The Great UP Run on Sunday at the UP Diliman Grounds.
Laudit set the pace for the men's 16K in 54 minutes and 53 seconds, beating Joel Orogan (56:00) and Mark Anthony Oximar (58:35).
Camacho, meanwhile, ruled the women's 16K in one hour, 10 minutes, and 13 seconds (1:10:13), with Maria Corinne Elizabeth Caymo (1:27:25) finishing second and Angelie Rose Lumba (1:32:10) taking third.
The run, which was held in partnership with the UP Office for Athletics and Sports Development (OASD) and the Office of the Vice President for Community Affairs (OVCCA), brought together the Iskos of different generations and reinforced the togetherness of one UP community.
RUNRIO, the country's leading race organizer, also gave back to UP donating P1 million to the OASD to be used in helping the university's various athletics programs and its student-athletes, one which was received by UP President Angelo Jimenez.
"The Great UP Run is one of the events that I just couldn't miss," said RUNRIO President Rio de la Cruz, also an alumnus of the University. "It is one of the first races that our company organized back in 2007 and it's a race that has endured and also got bigger through the years."
The Great UP Run also has Cristalino as official hydration partner, B'lue as flavored vitamin water partner, Pocari as ion supply drink partner, has CDO, Sogo, and University Hotel as major sponsors, and Astrotel, Citadines, REV, Park Access, Locally, Salonpas, PalawanPay, Sailun Tires, Universal Robina Corporation, Dove, Vaseline, Rexona, Dr. O Skinlab, Unilab, Genwell, Quaker Oats, S Brands Consumer Corp, Milcu, Kiks Tamarind, Athleisure, Wellmade Manufacturing Corp. and CloseUp as sponsors.
