SAFER PLACE? A family of four who has been living near a dangerous creek decided to leave the place upon the prodding of friends and relatives. They moved to what they thought was a safer place in the south. Two weeks later “tragedy” struck the family. A landslide occurred and their house was covered with mud. Neighbors called it “mini landslide only.” None was hurt. But their house was damaged.
NOT BLAMING ANYONE. The father of the family heard many talks about their misfortune. “Naglikay sa baha sa sapa, napunta sa dahili sa yuta,” someone said. But the father said he was blaming no one. “Dili ta mabasul ang kinaiyahan ... Kaloy-an lang gihapon mi sa Ginoo kay way nangaangol sa among pamilya.”
