Restobar owner more concerned about furniture than customers

ROWDY CUSTOMERS. A talent of a national TV show, together with his friends, were in a restobar in IT Park recently. A few tables away from them were a group of Tagalog-speaking men who were so rowdy, other customers, including a group of expats turned to them and told them to “shush” it. But the Tagalog group ignored the stares and glares and continued to be noisy. Finally, the TV talent told one of the rowdy bunch if they could keep it down a bit, but what he got was an angry, “Eh ano? Nagkakatuwaan lang naman kami.” He was even threatened with physical violence. He told the Tagalog-speaking man, “You want to punch me? Go ahead and I will sue you.”

FURNITURE OVER CUSTOMERS. The TV talent called the manager but the manager didn’t approach them to difuse the tension. When things quited down, he reprimanded the manager for poor customer service. The manager, a middle-aged Chinese woman, said she also don’t want any trouble, saying, “Dili pud ko ganahan kay maguba akong mga furniture.” The mediaman who heard this commented, “So, mas concerned pa siya sa iyang furniture kay sa mga customers? Paet!”
