Lotto bettors' behavior amuses outlet operator

P.S. TO SUPER LOTTO. A lotto outlet operator said he was amused, nay, touched, by the behavior of some lotto players who hoped to win the more than P300 million jackpot. There was an old woman who brought with her an image of the Sto. Niño, placing this on the counter as she gave her bet. Another woman held a rosary. And still another woman made the sign of the cross as she paid for her ticket. There was a man who kept singing “Come Holy Spirit” as he queued up with dozens of other hopefuls.

FAITH IN GOD. The lotto operator said the behavior of the lotto players showed their faith in God and their extreme desire to win and have a better life. “Natandog ko,” said the lotto operator. “Ug nalain ko nga akong nasikop ang ilang pusta apan wa nilay nakadaug.”
