Empty roads during Manny Pacquiao-Oscar de la Hoya fight

WIDE EMPTY ROAD. An Ear informer was on her way from Cebu City to Minglanilla during the start of the “Dream Match” between Manny Pacquiao and Oscar de la Hoya aired on national tv yesterday noon. The whole stretch of the South Road Properties (SRP) was empty of vehicles. She told her companion, “Mingawa sa dalan uy. Tanan tawo nanan-aw gyud siguro karon sa fight ni Pacquiao.”

DRIVE FAST. The driver of the taxi the informer was in, was also eagerly listening to the start of the fight over the radio. Taking advantage of SRP’s wide empty road, the cabbie gunned the engine and was driving like a madman. The informer told him, “Hinay-hinay lang ta ‘Bay. Hapit na ta molupad.” The cabbie replied, “Naabtan man gud ta sa sugod sa boxing. Lami na kaayo i-tan-aw sa away ni Pacquiao.”
