1. Agnes Sabaldan: Ang kinaiya sa tawo nga magtudtod lisod usbon apan ang pagpalambo sa ekonomiya pinaagi sa daghang trabaho mahimo sa gobyerno;
2. Atty. Ed Banaag: ULTRA tragedy is indeed very shocking. ABS-CBN's intention of bringing joy to the greatest number of people has always been laudable. No one can be blamed for the incident. BCBP Community extends our sympathy to those who lost their loved ones in the tragedy. We pray for the eternal repose of the souls of those who died;
3. Mabolo, Cebu City Councilor Raul Cosido: There must have been a crowd control system set up by ABS-CBN management and other organizers. The Wowowee in Cebu should have taught them what to do because the show is really a super crowd drawer;
5. Dennis Go: ABS-CBN should have been more prepared for the crowd control knowing how desperate our Kababayans can be. Government should now enact laws to protect our citizens when a huge crowd is expected in a public gathering. Let our bright boys in Congress do this task;
6. Roy: Stampedes have happened not only in poor countries. The ULTRA incident emphasized the importance of excellent crowd control, discipline, disaster anticipation, worst-case scenario planning, well-thought-out system/procedure and public address system. It also tested ABS-CBN's ability to handle media scrutiny/criticism regarding the incident. Can it be as transparent (exposing even self-incriminating footage) as it expects from church, government and other entities? It also tested the network's public communication skills;
8. Dr. Rene Josef Bullecer: Hundreds of (mostly well off) Muslims died during the annual Mecca pilgrimage. Their purpose: To have a glimpse of their God/Prophet. Almost a hundred died in the ULTRA stampede. Their purpose: To get a coupon/passport of getting a chance to win prizes mostly because of poverty. I'm sure this is an act of God sending a message to us all: "Stop Greed."
