MANILA, Philippines - In the information age, people are always finding convenient ways to stay up-to-date. The Philippine STAR, the country’s biggest print media enterprise, is known for trailblazing innovations. The STAR is the first newspaper in the country to launch Augmented Reality (AR), the first newspaper to venture into television via Philstar TV, and is now the first newspaper to launch an interactive newspaper through the Newspod.
The first of many Newspods was launched at Alabang Town Center’s Activity Center last Friday.
The Newspod is part of The STAR’s strategy to make news and information accessible to all possible consumer touch points and aims to inform and raise awareness about current events through its practical features. Aside from providing the daily headlines of the newspaper, the Newspod also comes in a format that most people are accustomed to on their mobile devices. Updates are done in real-time to give users the freshest happenings, such as breaking news and the latest headlines, from all over the country and beyond.
Its clean and uncluttered design makes it easy on the eyes and is very reader-friendly. The Newspod’s structure is simple and intuitive; anyone can definitely enjoy using it.
With the Newspod, The Philippine STAR becomes readily available in print, digital, social media, television and out-of-home (OOH).
In 2016, The STAR will be including OOH advertising as part of its services portfolio.
