MANILA, Philippines — The University of the Philippines (UP) Pep Squad was named second runner-up, behind the National University Pep Squad and the University of Santo Tomas' Salinggawi Dance Troupe in the UAAP Cheerdance Competition on Saturday.
The UP Pep Squad, clad in gold and maroon, had a near-perfect routine with no deductions inspired by "mind and heart," or "utak at puso" highlighted by awe-inspiring formations, pyramids and stunts.
