Phinma Education gathers partners in NCR

MANILA, Philippines — To help more young people gain education, the Philippine Investment Management Education brought together PhinmaEd partners in the National Capital Region in an effort to reach underserved youth, open pathways to college and connect graduates to opportunities beyond the classroom.
Under the theme “One Network. One Mission. One PhinmaEd,” the network’s Manila and Quezon City campuses, along with Phinma Southeastern College in Pasay, work to bring college opportunities closer to young people in their communities and create support beyond enrollment.
Liezl Occiano-Delos Angeles, PhinmaEd NCR Network chief operating officer, said partnership work is ultimately measured by what happens after students graduate.
“We are committed to becoming the most effective schools in NCR in helping low-income students achieve economic mobility. This means when they graduate, they are already earning. We are committed to that,” Delos Angeles said.
PhinmaEd cited its collaboration with Saint Jude College, which enables employees to pursue their education through flexible learning arrangements under the ContinULearn program, and partnership with QCitizen, which opened scholarship opportunities for eligible Quezon City residents.
The PhinmaEd NCR Network’s first grand partners’ luncheon was attended by representatives of local government units, Department of Social Welfare and Development, schools division offices, educational institutions, private sector organizations and youth-focused groups.
