CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY, Philippines — Three family members were killed and two others were injured after a truck hit their vehicle along St. John street in Barangay Puntod on Sunday.
Police identified the victims as Amalia Baspin, 72, and her sons Marlon and Marjohn.
Two other people were injured and are receiving medical treatment.
A manhunt was launched against truck driver Roldan Adlawon, who fled the scene along with his truck aide after the collision.
Marvin Baspin, Amalia’s son, has appealed for help from the government, saying his mother and brothers need to be transported home to Valencia City in Bukidnon for proper burial.
“We are still in shock and struggling to arrange everything. Wwe appeal to authorities to find Roldan Adlawon and his assistant and give our family the justice we deserve,” Marvin said.
