CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga, Philippines — A gasoline station in Magalang, Pampanga was shut down and its four employees were arrested on Friday for allegedly selling petroleum products without necessary permits.

Among those arrested were three pump attendants and the cashier of the establishment located in Barangay San Roque.

The workers were placed under police custody for proper documentation and disposition.

Gen. Jess Mendez, Central Luzon police director, said police raided the fuel station located along Ninoy Aquino Road following information that the establishment was operating illegally.

Mendez said police have yet to identify the owner of the gasoline station.

The raiding team sealed the station’s fuel dispensers and seized sales invoices, P25,507 in cash believed to be proceeds of the illegal trade and marked money.

Mendez said the illegal sale of petroleum products poses risk to people and communities.
