2 killed in Maguindanao attack

COTABATO CITY, Philippines —Two businessmen were killed while another was wounded in an ambush in Mamasapano, Maguindanao del Sur on Thursday afternoon.

Fahad Sula and Alfaris Dalinding were declared dead on arrival in a nearby hospital following the attack in Barangay Pembalkan, according to Capt. Steffi Salanguit, spokesperson for the Bangsamoro police.

The victims’ companion, Asmawi Bantas, was brought to a hospital for treatment of a gunshot wound.

The victims were in a tricycle loaded with electronics and other merchandize when the gunmen assaulted them.
