Government services offered for Marcos 69th birthday

MANILA, Philippines — More than 50 national and local government services were made available to San Juan residents yesterday through the city’s “Handog ng Pangulo” program.
The activity was led by Mayor Francis Zamora and Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development Secretary Jose Ramon Aliling as part of the nationwide celebration of President Marcos’ 69th birthday on Sept. 13.
Services include food assistance, health and dental consultations, vaccinations, PhilHealth registration, job and skills-training registration, legal aid, police clearance and civil registry services.
City hall also distributed P2,000 in financial aid to 2,000 beneficiaries, social pension to 3,412 senior citizens and P20-per-kilo rice to 300 beneficiaries.
Pet owners also availed themselves of free spaying and neutering, anti-rabies vaccination and microchipping.
In Malabon, Mayor Jeannie Sandoval and National Bureau of Investigation Director Melvin Matibag led the distribution of assistance to residents under the “Handog ng Pangulo” activity.
