MANILA, Philippines — Rehabilitation of the pothole-ridden Maysan Road in Valenzuela should be completed within six months, according to the Department of Public Works and Highways.

DPWH Secretary Vince Dizon said President Marcos ordered the completion of Maysan Road’s repairs.

“You can see for yourselves how badly damaged it is. It looks like a sungkaan board,” Dizon said, referring to a board game.

“We are going to fix this properly. Construction will be 24/7 so we can wrap this up in six months,” he added.

Dizon inspected the road with Mayor Wes Gatchalian on Aug. 13.
