Senate robbery probed

MANILA, Philippines — Police have launched an investigation after two people stole equipment from state-run IBC at the Senate compound in Pasay yesterday.
Authorities are looking for a couple who supposedly used a saw to cut the rear steel fence of the Senate complex.
Police identified the suspects only as “Itik” and “Beverly.”
The suspects stole a television set, two printers, two folding long tables, an extension cable, three pocket WiFi devices, a stool and some office supplies inside the IBC tent.
The IBC tent is located near the Senate’s material recovery facility.
Three media personnel from IBC reported the incident to the Senate’s security office at past 5 a.m.
City police chief Col. Joselito de Sesto told The STAR that security at the Senate remains intact.
