James, parang baguhan ulit ang pakiramdam

Aminado si James Reid na nakasalalay sa magiging rating Someone, Someday ang susunod niyang teleserye.

Comeback teleserye ito ng actor after 10 years, Till I Met You ang last teleserye niya with her real and reel loveteam that time, si Nadine Lustre.

At naniniwala siyang ito ang perfect comeback para sa kanya. “Ito ‘yun comeback project ko. It’s also Kathryn’s (Bernardo) comeback to teleseryes again. Even Maja (Salvador), even Direk Chad (Vidanes); it’s his debut project. Teleserye, I think. This is his first project. So many firsts, so many comebacks, and yeah, I was super nervous. And I really felt the nerves, I think. Everybody felt it, not just me,” pag-amin ni James sa kanyang solo presscon kahapon.

Pero gusto naman daw talaga niyang mag-comeback. “I think almost every interview I’ve done since 2019 or 2020, when I decided to take a pause, I always said I plan to come back to acting. It was never really a goodbye for me; I’ve always said that it is something I want to return to, one day when I feel like I can handle it again.

“It was getting a bit intense for me, but I felt like now was the right time to come back. I’m not sure why; maybe it is an emotional thing. I’m in a good place right now, and I am very happy right now. I can handle the workload and everything that comes with it,” pag-amin pa ng actor kahapon.

Pero talagang kinabahan daw siya sa unang araw nila ng taping na parang nag-uumpisa ulit. “I’m learning the ropes all over again. So, I’m super grateful that I am working with two titans in the industry. I consider myself to be very lucky,” paliwanag niya tungkol sa experience sa pagbalik sa teleserye na ang tinutukoy ay sina Kathryn Bernardo at Maja Salvador.

Pero matagal na raw sanang naganap ang pagtatambal nila ni Kathryn. “The crossover of me and Kath working together has been long anticipated by a lot of the fans. This new opening kind of way of working together is allowing for more possibilities to learn from more opportunities. Such as someone, someday to exist,” pahayag niya pa.

At nang tanungin siya tungkol sa aabangan sa serye: “First and foremost, so excited for everyone to see how I, Kath, and also Maja come to life. Hindi normal ‘yung relationship nila, and I think special ang relationship nila,” sabi pa niya na ingat na ingat madulas sa magiging takbo ng kuwento nito.

Pero gaganap siya ritong bar owner na isang musician na hindi malayo sa mga ginagawa niya nang mag-pause siya sa acting kung saan tinutukan niya ang kanyang musika. “Personal expe­rience, a personal journey. But it’s very real, especially how I write music. It is real, grounded, and experienced. Acting is fantasy. You get to live larger-than-life situations and larger-than-life love and get to try things that you would never really in real life.”

At  kung meron man daw siyang na-miss sa teleserye, ito ay ang creative aspect. “So, I think that is the part that I miss the most about acting is the creative part.”

Bukod sa tambalan nila ni Kathryn, muli ring pinagsama ng seryeng ito ang kanyang landas at ang Dreamscape Entertainment,  ang production unit sa likod ng dalawa sa kanyang mga hit drama sa ABS-CBN, ang On the Wings of Love at Till I Met You.
