MANILA, Philippines — The PVL on Tour opens shop on July 8 in Ilagan City in Isabela with a pair of explosive duels pitting ZUS Coffee with Akari and Creamline against Nxled.

From there, it will have hop over to Batangas City on July 11 and more matches in the North like in Vigan, Ilocos Sur on July 25, and Santiago City on Aug. 8.

There will also be games in Mindanao on Aug. 1 in Polomolok, South Cotabato and on Aug. 15 in Tubod, Lanao del Norte.

And if plans don’t miscarry, the tourney will visit Iloilo possibly in August.

Out to defend the title are the PLDT High Speed Hitters, who will open their quest in Vigan versus the Choco Mucho Flying Titans.

The Manny V. Pangilinan-owned franchise will be one of the teams to beat in the coming conference after keeping the core of the same team that won two PVL championships last year including the Invitational.

Savi Davison is expected to lead the High Speed Hitters along with Mika Reyes, Kianna Dy, Kath Arado, Majoy Baron and Dell Palomata.

Meanwhile, veteran setter Ivy Perez was picked up yesterday by Choco Mucho to help fill the void left by Tia Andaya, who is currently on leave.
