MANILA, Philippines — Power consumers in the Visayas experienced rotational outages again yesterday as supply remained tight due to high electricity demand and the continued shutdown of major coal-powered plants.
The National Grid Corp. of the Philippines implemented manual load dropping from 3 to 9 p.m. after the region was placed under a yellow alert from 3 to 10 p.m.
The power disruption affected parts of Aklan, Antique, Bohol, Capiz, Guimaras, Iloilo and Negros Occidental as well as Metro Cebu.
