MANILA, Philippines — Amid public advisories on rotating power interruptions that will hit Metro Manila and nearby provinces, Globe has assured its customers that contingency measures are in place to ensure continuous operations of its facilities and cellsites.

In the absence of commercial power, backup power sources such as generators and batteries are in place to keep the network running.

The company said it continues to work closely with government institutions and industry partners to support efforts that prioritize telecommunications as critical infrastructure.

“These engagements help ensure that the necessary resources and operational support are in place to sustain network services and enable fast restoration during prolonged power interruptions,” Globe said.

As part of its broader energy resiliency efforts, Globe continues to strengthen energy efficiency measures across its operations while increasing the use of renewable energy and AI-driven technologies that help optimize power consumption across network sites.

It said Globe remains focused on maintaining stable and reliable connectivity for customers.
