Proclamation 1242 declared May 20 a special non-working day in Gattaran for the observance of the town’s founding anniversary.

MANILA, Philippines —  Malacañang has declared special non-working holidays in the town of Gattaran in Cagayan and the city of Calaca in Batangas, to allow residents to participate in local celebrations.

Proclamation 1242 declared May 20 a special non-working day in Gattaran for the observance of the town’s founding anniversary.

Meanwhile, Proclamation 1241 declared May 23 a special non-working day in Calaca for the commemoration of the birth anniversary of Gen. Eleuterio Marasigan, one of the leaders of the libertarian movement in the province during the Philippine-American War.

Both proclamations were signed by Executive Secretary Ralph Recto on May 7 by the authority of President Marcos.
