MANILA, Philippines — The Quezon City government has partnered with short-form video platform TikTok and Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry-QC to equip micro, small and medium enterprise (MSME) with skills to navigate the country’s growing digital economy.

The Unlad Lokal Roadshow Caravan, led by the city’s small business and cooperatives development and promotions office, provided over 300 MSME owners and staff with hands-on training in e-commerce, digital marketing and live selling.

“Part of the process is guiding our entrepreneurs through the changing landscape of doing business, especially with the availability of e-commerce and digital platforms,” Mayor Joy Belmonte told the participants.

“Together, we will strive to ensure that you have opportunities to prosper,” she added.

Participants received step-by-step guidance on setting up accounts on TikTok Shop, as well as information on how to become affiliates and maximize the platform’s features to effectively promote and sell their products online.
